WANTED! Another dedicated guardian for this “old girl”.
She was built at the Spartan Aircraft Limited factory in June 1932 located on the Isle of Wight, England.
She started life out as G-ABYN and later went to Tipperary in Ireland where she became EI-ABU.
When I purchased her in 1994 she was all but complete but in need of restoration.
She is now ZK-ARH.
This is not a replica as most of her was able to be reused thus date stamps and original placards are visible.
The Cirrus Hermes IV was bulk stripped, checked and found to be in good condition and refitted after painting.
Incidentally, I have not been able to find another of these engines.
Fortunately she runs well and starts easily.
