Description

This car was planned and built to be driven hard without breaking down ,and perform not only in a straight line, as it is usual for muscle cars …

To achieve this, we had had to make use of our years of experience in setting and racing cars on tight, demanding mountain roads in Lebanon (Hill Climbs FIA )

So to start with this car we needed first a powerful heart, so a 7500 RPM screaming, crate Roush engine producing 450+bhp was thrown in ,linked to a special PA Automatic gearbox capable of handling the massive toque this engine produces …a racing third member “diff” housed in a “FAB 9” with a powerful limited slip was installed to give that nice grip on both rear wheels ….A massive aluminum “Be Cool” radiator with a twin fan set up had to be used also to ensure things kept cool ….A powerful starter, New AC unit, JBA Headers, a brand new full wiring harness was installed with safety features, a racing “fuel Safe” tank with an electronic sender and a high pressure fuel pump, and the list goes on..

After power… we needed control ,we purchased a TCP ” Total control Products” full suspension system adjustable in every way needed just like a race car …TCP were the developers of the suspension in the car known as “elanor” in the hit movie “gone in sixty seconds”

In summary rear leaf springs where replaced with a whole new 4 way adjustable set up that looks as good as it performs ,the front suspension is a double-wish-bone set up, a short ratio Rack and pinion TCP full steering system is also installed, 4 vented disc brakes with Willwood calipers, and a high pressure master cylinder were definitely needed …Car sits on American racing Shelby wheels

From the exterior and interior the idea was to stick to that 67 beautiful look but using only upgrades that where done at that era …so to give it a more aggressive look and stay era correct we went with the traditional “shelby GT500” look …in which the front of the car becomes longer in about 15cm…and the head lamps are smaller

A 67 deluxe interior with brushed aluminum / Black seats is also period correct …A full billet JME dashboard that looks perfect with autometer gauges ,and a B&M sequential shifter immediately gives you the feel that this car means serious business….even with the massive sound system installed we found a way to keep the player to look like the stock on dash

The above is a summary, Basically every not and bolt on this car was purchased new …..

As for the process of restoration the car was hand scraped / sand blasted to bare metal, sprayed anti rust ….and the rest is known
