Description

2006 Hummer H1 Alpha Canepa Design VIN# 137PH84356E221344 Custom built by Canepa Design 425 Horsepower – 800+ ft/lbs torque Fully serviced and all records since new The H1 is one of the most iconic off-road vehicles ever made for the public. Based on the military Humvee it was an absolute beast off-road, but it lacked any sort of sophistication for street use, not to mention enough power for highway driving. For 2006, the final year of production, GM created the pinnacle of Hummers, the H1 Alpha. With tons of upgrades it represented the single greatest advance in the 14-year history of the original Hummer, and only 417 were made. Even with the Alpha’s upgrades many discerning clients wanted to take the vehicle a step farther. Enter Canepa Design in 2005. This H1 Alpha was custom built for one of our clients with no expense spared. We completely customized the H1 inside and out, including engine performance upgrades, custom 20 forged alloy wheels, monochromatic paint, chrome-plated components and stainless steel hardware throughout, custom Alcantara headliner, leather trim appointments, Rolls-Royce carpet, and a very important upgrade for any Hummer – complete interior sound deadening. With the exterior noise abated you could now enjoy the state of the art entertainment system with AM/FM/XM,CD, navigation system, back-up camera, seat back video screens, Morel speaker system, subwoofer and J L Audio amplifier. The H1 Alpha was originally priced at $150,975.00 MSRP, and this Canepa Design version had an addition $350,000 worth of customization done, bringing the cost of a new Canepa Design Alpha back in 2006 to a cool $500,000. Since returning to Canepa the H1 Alpha has been completely detailed and serviced, ready for another owner who wants to make the ultimate SUV statement. Performance Gale Banks Six Gun diesel tuner and Speed Loader system provides up to 124 additional horsepower and 303 ft/lbs of additional torque over a stock H1 for a total of 425HP with over 800lbs of torque. Canepa Exterior Upgrades A special black monochromatic paint design includes front hood grill surround, wheel opening flares, review mirrors, fuel filler pockets, door handles, door locks cylinder bezels, and antenna base (gloss black body color). Body upgrades include new Canepa Design custom fabricated front and rear bumper assemblies, custom front brush guard, stainless steel mesh in hood and front grills, Hummer accessory wheel opening flares, and Canepa Design rear tow hitch with integrated plug. Canepa Interior Upgrades Wall-to-wall sound deadening includes floors, underbody, roof, walls, A, B C and D pillars, tunnel, engine cover, firewall, side and rear doors, inner fenders, footwells, etc. making this the quietest H1 ever constructed. Front seat bases are modified to allow lower seating and 6 more inches of leg room. A custom aluminum dead pedal and steering wheel extension was added for increased driver comfort. Hummer accessory cargo baskets added in rear wheel wells Custom Alcantara suede headliner, sunvisors and door pillar trims. New leather trimmed door pockets and leather covered and padded armrests accent the door panels. The new back up camera uses the factory navigation screen for display. Wheels/Tires Canepa Design custom forged hubcentric 20 alloy wheels which incorporate the Central Tire Inflation System, which enables the driver to increase or decrease the tire air pressure at the push of a button. Fitted with Nitto Terra Grappler All Terrain LT355/60R20 tires. About the H1 Alpha: Originally designed strictly for military use the four-wheel-drive Humvee was released to the civilian market due to popular demand as the H1. Boasting 16 inches (40 cm) of ground clearance as well as super-aggressive approach and departure angles (72/37.5 degrees), the H1could climb a 22-inch (56 cm) high obstacle, handle a 60 percent grade and wade through up to 30 inches (76 cm) of water. The H1 Alpha was an extensively re-engineered H1 built only for the 2006 model year that was equipped with GM’s 6.6 liter Duramax Turbo Diesel V8 and 5-speed Allison 1000 transmission. Horsepower was up 46 percent over previous H1s, and peak torque was a massive 520 lb.-ft. at 1500 rpm, an increase of 18 percent over the standard H1. Other major modifications from previous H1s included the use of special high-strength steel in the chassis frame, a more powerful steering gear; quieter axle differentials, redesign of the geared hubs to use quieter helical gears, new induction, exhaust and electrical power systems; and re-engineering of the fuel supply and filtration system. A revised fuel system also increases capacity of the Alpha H1’s two on-board tanks to 51.5 gallons, 9.5 gallons more than previous H1s. Brake rotors were also larger, going from 10.7 inches to 12 inches in diameter. To accommodate the new dimensions of the Duramax 6600 and Allison 1000, the body of the H1 Alpha is positioned 2 inches higher than the previous H1. This provides slightly more clearance for the body panels from the wheels and from potential obstacles on trails. The H1 Alpha was priced at $150,975.00. This is a unique opportunity to own one of last of 417 Hummer Alpha H1 vehicles produced worldwide. The 2006 H1 Alpha is the highest performing H1 ever, featuring GM’s Duramax 6600 diesel engine. Factor in Canepa Design Gale Banks Six Gun Diesel Tuner and Speed loader system performance enhancements and you get the most potent extreme off-road crawling and climbing vehicle without peer. The Duramax 6600 already delivers 300 horsepower at 3000 rpm, a 46 percent increase over previous H1s equipped with the 6.5-liter Optimizer Turbo-Diesel. Peak torque is a massive 520 lb.-ft. at 1500 rpm, an increase of 18 percent. The Gale Banks Six Gun Diesel Tuner provides up to 124 additional horsepower and 303 Ib-ff of additional torque over a stock H1 for a total of 425HP with over 8OOIbs of torque. On the road, the new powertrain provides smoother, quieter and more comfortable operation, with better acceleration. Zero-to-60 acceleration improves by a full three seconds to 13.5 seconds. Completely customized by Canepa Design inside and out including engine performance upgrades, 20 forged alloy wheels, monochromatic paint, chrome-plated components and stainless steel hardware throughout, custom Alcantara headliner, leather trim appointments, Rolls Royce carpet and complete interior sound deadening.
